William O'Sullivan, M.A., D. Econ. Sc., The Earliest Anglo-Irish Coinage.  Government Publications Sale Office 1964.  Card, viii, 88 pps, 10 plates.

A.T. Lucas, Director of the Museum in 1964, writes the Forward, "Dr. W. O'Sullivan, Keeper of the Art and Industrial Division of the National Museum of Ireland, first published this study of the Hiberno-Norse coinage in the Journal of the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland, vol. 79 (1949). and that paper was reprinted, by courtesy of the Society, as a Museum publication in 1961 under the title The Earliest Irish Coinage.  In the present work , Dr. O'Sullivan carries his history of Irish coinage a stage further to cover that of the earliest Anglo-Irish phase and his exhaustive analysis of the coins of the period in the national collection has enabled him to solve, for this first time, many of the complex technical problems involved."
