Additional Details
John Lindsay, A View of Coinage of Ireland from the Invasion of the Danes to the Reign of George IV., with some Account of the Ring Money; also, copious tables, lists, and descriptions of Hiberno-Danish and Irish Coins; and An Account of Some of the Principal Hoards or Parcels of Coins Discovered in Ireland; Illustrated with Engravings of Upwards of One Hundred and Fifty Unpublished Coins. Printed by Luke H. Bolster, Patrick Street, Cork, and sold by Millikin and Son, Dublin; and Longman and Co., London 1839 First Original Edition. 4to, viii, 144 pp. 14 Plates.Lindsay dedicated all his books, this one to his uncle, "For Noblet Johnson Lindsay Esq. with the affectionate regards of his Nephew the Author. Feb 23rd 1839." The elder Mr. Lindsay never cut the pages or read the book, so it is in pretty good condition. Best one I have seen. The original bindings on these are notorious for being shoddy and falling apart. This one pretty tight, but with bumped corners, some minor splitting of the exterior edge to the spine not affecting the integrity, and one plate missing a corner, not affecting anything printed on the page. The best condition original binding I have seen.
